The Democratic Republic of Congo has been suffering from one of the most extensive wars in contemporary history.
This conflict has resulted in a broken economy and a failing educational system. Children ages 18 and younger make up 50% of the DRC's population, but many of these children do not participate in formal education. Over 7.6 million children are not enrolled in school, and in order for the community to improve, an investment in education must be made.
emerge poverty free has partnered with several organisations on projects that will bring positive change to this impoverished country. By initiating educational programmes, establishing safe and supportive orphanages, and teaching citizens useful trades, emerge poverty free will provide communities with the tools needed to improve their livelihoods for generations to come.
