emerge poverty free funds The International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) Huruma Children’s Home situated near the town of Eldoret, an area deeply affected by HIV/AIDS, and massive unemployment.
The home now accommodates 60 children from the ages of 3-18. emerge poverty free funded the partitioning of its large dormitory halls into smaller rooms in order to meet government standards and continue the high quality of their vital services. Our aim is to help the Home on the road to sustainability and, in order to achieve this, we have recently shipped the Solar Grow 1 container to IPHC for agricultural extension.
Local farmers on the Solar Grow farm near Eldoret were eager to be trained and see what all the fuss was about. Income and produce from the farm will all benefit the orphanage making it even more sustainable.
The improved farming of cereal crops and tomatoes produces income and nutrition for the orphanage. Home grown food tastes good as well.
Children from the IHPC orphanage attend the local community school. The children are thriving at their studies and all are very thankful for the chance of an education. Without our help attending school would be out of their reach.
