emerge poverty free

Project Turkana Food Security

The Turkana region of Kenya, close to the South Sudan and Ethiopian border, is notoriously dry and the Turkana people, traditionally pastoralists, have steadily lost their cattle and natural resources, leaving them in desperate need when there is a draught.

Following an emergency appeal for famine in the Horn of Africa, emerge poverty free together with our local partner International Pentecostal Holiness Church funded and organised the logistics for the food distribution to over 4,000 people in 3 locations in the Turkana region.
